Lady Gaga Makeup
Model: Kelly Dibilio
Materials: Oil based cream makeup, baby powder, watercolor face makeup, black clothes and white sheet

A recreation of one of the makeups used in Lady Gaga's music video Applause which was inspired by an artist named Kazuo Shiraga. I wanted to give this makeup more of an oil painting feeling unlike the smooth surface from the music video which is why baby powder was applied on top of the white cream makeup, to give her face the cracks an old painting would have. I used photoshop in the top photo only to brighten the eyes and use the same sheet as the video.
R (Warm bodies) Makeup
Model: Joshua Cline
Materials: Fit Me foundation powder, eyeshadow, latex , dirt, colored pencils, watercolor face paint, black wig, white shirt and red jacket

One of my friends resembles the actor Nicholas Hoult in a movie titled Warm Bodies directed by Jonathan Levine based off of a book written by Isaac Marion. I wanted to turn him into the character of R because of this and in order to do so had to pull from different mediums to rough him up bit.
Black swan Makeup
Model: Rachael Wiggins
Materials: White cream makeup, black cream makeup, eye shadow, lip stick, black face paint, and feathers

I wanted to capture the essence of a ballet dancers transformation into her true form as portrayed in the movie Black Swan directed by Darren Aronofsky. Rather than making her with cracked skin like a porcelain doll I chose to use feathers to give her more of a bird look. Photoshop was only used to put the before and after picture together and make the eyes red to make it easier on my model who couldn't wear contacts.
Mystique makeup
Model: Rachael Wiggins
Materials: Liquid latex, elmer's glue, spirit gum, blue airbrush face paint, cream paints, blue fabric, clay and a red wig.

I wanted to capture Mystiques transformation while she hides in plain sight. Clay was placed on a flat surface and carved into while latex was painted on top. This was done without any form of the model in order to paste everything together where her skin overlaps each other in a messy transformation.
Beetlejuice makeup
Model: Kendall LaPoint
Materials: White Cream makeup, liquid latex, purple eyeshadow, baby powder, watercolor face paint and white wig

A makeup I have performed on myself once before, reinvented.

Wounds
Model: Myself
Materials: Liquid latex, watercolor body paint, elmers glue and spirit gum.

I thought about what it would be like to burn your fingers and how they would react and blister.
Model: Myself
Materials: Soft crayola clay, cotton balls, liquid latex, powder foundation, contour, liquid foundation and watercolor body paint. Fake blood was home made out of cornstarch, corn syrup, red and blue food coloring so it was edible.

I used the materials I had so it made it more difficult to create rather than using wax.
